Wasn't Manassas Park who PV played three or four years ago in the State championship game. How did they get moved to Div.1

I just looked it up on the VHSL website, Manassas Park has an enrollment of 618 and are Division 1. What gets me is some idiot on swvafootball.com over in Region C was complaining about Coeburn (396), Clintwood (329) and Castlewood (308) being given the opportunity to go Division 1 as well.

You combine Clintwood and Castlewood and have about the same number of students that Manassas Park has alone. And then people wonder about the recent success of Region B and hear all of their chest thumpers on VirginiaPreps. because of the 27 Teams that make up Region B there are 13 teams that are Larger than MP putting them in Div 1 even though they have an enrollment of 618 (MP is not even the largest school in Div 1 Region B that would be Nelson County at 624)


As I have said MANY times before the Division split at the Region level is bull I vote for killing off Divisions and going to strait 4 or 5A in all sports

Why is Clintwood, Coeburn and Castlewood not on this list?

Guy didn't figure them because they just got dropped down on the appeal? Looks like a good lawyer could make a case from the "RC Rule" to get more than A, AA and AAA. Make them use enrollment numbers instead of "equal" 1/3s, cause the Lord knows that isn't anywhere near equal.
